Say Yes to Dessert and Yes to Marriage Equality.

Last night I had the pleasure of manning the photo booth for the "Say Yes to Dessert and Yes to Marriage Equality" I am a strong believer in both of these causes, so I was more than happy to have some child free time, scoffing cakes and supporting a great cause!

Meet Mark and Dave, owners of North Geelong's Cafe Bear and Scoob's, partners in business, love and life. Strong believers in, and campaigners for Marriage Equality and the best dessert chef's getting around. If you haven't made your way down to Cafe Bear and Scoob's yet - you need to asap.

By day, Cafe Bear and Scoob's serves up amazing coffee, meals and of course an amazing array of desserts. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights they open from 6pm - 9.30pm to satisfy your dessert cravings.

These scrumptious tasting plates were on offer, and they tasted even better than they looked. The sticky date pudding was my personal favourite, drenched in the best butterscotch sauce I have ever tasted. Such a perfect comfort food for the dismal weather we have been experiencing for far too long.

These are the custom designed photo strips that we created especially for the night to match in with the branding for the "Say Yes" campaign.

The booth was a big hit, and the notice board at Cafe Bear and Scoob's is now filled with people showing there support of Marriage Equality. It leaves me wondering why this is still a thing? How are we still campaigning for equal rights? Lets just get this done. Let them marry! Doesn't our world have much bigger things to deal with than simply letting people who love each other marry?

My husband Dan and I, were married 9 years ago, and Mark played the role of brilliant MC at our own wedding. Pic included below just for fun !

It was a great night and this weekend there are two more opportunities to show your support of marriage equality across the Geelong region.

Saturday September 9. Marriage Equality Walk. Commencing at 1pm in the Little Malop St Mall.

Sunday September 10. Marriage Equality Campaign at the Showgrounds Market. 10am- 12pm
